About the role
We are seeking a Full time Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dedicated team within Clayton, VIC.
Your role will be to participate in the day-to-day operation of the laboratory, working as part of a dedicated team. Duties include maintenance of instrumentation and equipment and compliance with accreditation and quality assurance requirements. The preferred applicants will be flexible, punctual, self-motivated, display initiative and be able to work with minimal supervision.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Laboratory Science or an AIMS accredited equivalent as a minimum.
- Relevant experience and qualification in specialised discipline Histology
- Microtomy and embedding experience
- Cut up experience preferred but not essential
- High attention to detail and experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask and successfully work as part of a team.
- Exceptional communication, time management & organisational skills.
- The ability to contribute towards the delivery of customer focused services.
- Have own transport and be able to take part in weekend and evening rosters including public holidays.
