About the role
We are on the lookout for individuals who are eager to make a positive impact in the lives of others. As a practitioner with JMS, you will provide critical and meaningful support for individuals facing emotional regulation challenges. Your role will be to improve your clients quality of life and personal well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the functional causes of challenging behaviours
- Develop and implement tailored behaviour support plans to address the specific needs of each client
- Provide direct support and training to clients, their families, and support staff to ensure effective implementation of behaviour support strategies
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals to coordinate and deliver holistic care
- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of behaviour support interventions, making adjustments as needed
- Maintain detailed client records and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in the field
Mandatory Requirements
- Must Have Registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner OR a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Education, or another relevant field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Experience or similar in conducting and writing functional behaviour assessments, developing positive behaviour support plans, and evaluating their effectiveness through data collection and analysis.
- A strong ethical compass and dedication to high-quality, individualised service delivery.
- Proficient in data collection, analysis, and report writing
- Current Driver's License.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children Check
- Police Check.
- Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety and You'.
- A strong commitment to ethical practice and a person-centred approach
- Lived Experience (highly desirable).
- Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
