We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Worker to join our team and provide specialised care to clients with complex needs.

This role would be ideally suited to an Enrolled Nurse or a Senior Support Worker with experience assisting with high-intensity supports

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care and support tailored to individual needs

Safely operate hoisting equipment for transfers and mobility assistance

Perform suctioning procedures as required

Administer PEG feeding and monitor nutritional intake

Support individuals with epilepsy, including seizure management and emergency response

Provide bowel care and manage catheter care routines

Administer and monitor insulin as part of diabetes management

Promote independence and dignity in all aspects of care

Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or relevant healthcare setting
  • Competency in hoisting, suctioning, PEG feeding, epilepsy care, bowel care, catheter care, and insulin administration
  • Relevant care qualifications (e.g., Certificate III in Individual Support, Diploma of Nursing, or equivalent)
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Medication administration experience
