About The Role
We have a Permanent Full-Time opportunity for a Nurse Unit Manager, commencing in January.
This role oversees surgical admissions at Lenah Valley Hospital and Day Surgery while leading a team of dedicated and experienced nurses. The position also includes managing the Pre-Admission Clinic, Discharge Planner, and Cardiac Liaison Nurse teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote quality customer service and excellence in patient care
- Provide leadership and implement clinical and operational strategies in alignment with the local service plan
- Uphold and promote the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Tasmania
- Manage human, material, and financial resources effectively
- Develop and advance the clinical specialty as a centre of excellence
What You Bring
- AHPRA Registration
- Recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
- The ability to work independently, proficiently, and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others within a mission-based organisation
