About the role
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Ward Clerk to join the Accident & Emergency Department on the Hobart Lenah Valley campus.
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, the Ward Clerk is responsible for admin and clerical duties including patient registrations and updates, answering phone queries, completing patient admissions, and billing and banking with some cash handling.
What you bring
Excellent communication, customer service and people skills
Proven ability to work as part of a small team and able to take instruction and complete given tasks under mínimal supervision/autonomously
Proven ability to manage duties and organise competing priorities
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations and information
Outstanding time management skills
Cash handling and banking experience (desirable)
Experience with Health Fund and Medicare submissions (desirable)
Experience with IPM and Medtech (desirable)
