Bella Vista NSW, Australia Dr Amy Talbot & Associates Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Lead with Purpose: Transform Mental Healthcare with Us

At The Talbot Centre, we are not just part of the healthcare system—we are here to transform it. We believe every person deserves to know their worth, feel a sense of belonging, and be supported to grow into their full potential. Our mission is to challenge the status quo and pioneer a new kind of person-centred care—one that is deeply human, accessible, and empowering. We are reimagining healthcare, breaking down barriers, and creating real change for individuals, families, and communities.

If you're driven by purpose and want to be part of something bigger, this is where you belong.

Step into Leadership: Be Part of a Movement, Not Just a Workplace

The Talbot Centre is passionate about pioneering the future of healthcare, and this includes a strong commitment to developing and mentoring leaders in the healthcare field. We are now seeking a new member of our Leadership Team; an opportunity for an experienced or emerging leader to contribute to strategic direction, innovation, and sustainable service growth.

Our leadership structure is intentionally flat and collaborative. We work as a collective of equals, sharing responsibility for the wellbeing of our people and the effectiveness of our services. Leadership here is viewed as service, not status—a chance to empower others, nurture growth, and shape systems that help people thrive. Every member of the leadership team holds portfolios aligned with their individual strengths and passions, with the flexibility to evolve as those interests deepen or shift over time.

We value collective wisdom over personal power, and we see transparency, reflection, and generosity of knowledge as the foundations of effective leadership. We believe that wellbeing and performance are interdependent; that care, compassion, and accountability go hand in hand. Our culture is one where curiosity is encouraged, learning is continuous, and feedback is given with honesty, kindness, and respect.

Together, we are building a workplace that is both high-performing and deeply human; where leadership is shared, diversity of thought is celebrated, and governance, supervision, and innovation are seen as collaborative responsibilities.

This role may suit someone with prior leadership or management experience (including qualifications such as an MBA or Masters in Health Leadership & Management) who is eager to apply their strategic and operational insight in a values-driven context. It may also appeal to a clinician ready to step into leadership, who brings creativity, curiosity, and the courage to grow.

Why The Talbot Centre?

At The Talbot Centre, we don't just offer jobs—we offer a place to belong. We're looking for someone who isn't just searching for their next role, but a team where they can grow, thrive, and make a real impact for years to come. We are not a private practice; we are a private outpatient service with a unique organisational structure designed to provide the best possible support for our staff which in turn results in the highest quality care for our community. If you're looking for a meaningful, long-term career in a workplace that truly values you, we'd love to hear from you.

The Talbot Centre is a multi-award-winning, premier healthcare service in Northwest Sydney. We were awarded Team Culture Excellence at the Australian Allied Health Awards in 2024, reflecting our commitment to a supportive and thriving workplace. Our director is also a past recipient of the Excellence in Allied Health Leadership & Management Award Due to planned organisational growth, we have a rare opportunity for a new leader to join our team.

We provide holistic, inclusive and affirming care to clients across the lifespan with a range of complex mental health needs. We work from an integrated, balanced, person-first relational approach, that incorporates attachment-based and psychodynamic principles with skills-based approaches.

Our interdisciplinary team provides collaborative, whole-person care that adapts to the needs of each person. We are committed to reducing stigma, challenging outdated treatment models, and fostering autonomy in recovery and mental well-being. Our approach is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming, fat-positive and culturally responsive, ensuring every client feels seen, heard, and supported. We value lived experience perspectives alongside research and clinical expertise, ensuring our work is both evidence-based and deeply human.
