FSM (Food Service Machinery) is expanding, and we're looking for an experienced Production Manager to help lead the next phase of growth at our Austream manufacturing facility in Melbourne.

This is a hybrid role that includes the flexibility to work from home, but will require regular travel to our Melbourne facility.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role will oversee all aspects of production — from planning and costing through to equipment maintenance and schedule management. You'll ensure the manufacturing process runs smoothly, efficiently, and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Detailed planning and costing of all production strategies
  • End-to-end responsibility for production budgets and timelines
  • Purchasing and commissioning of new plant equipment
  • Maintenance of all production equipment and assets
  • Preparation and presentation of weekly production schedules
  • Coordination and communication with key internal stakeholders
  • Ensure production is delivered on time and within agreed costings

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar manufacturing/production role
  • Strong planning, costing, and organisational skills
  • Effective communicator, able to work closely with senior management
  • Hands-on problem solver who thrives in a growing business
  • Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum 1 year experience
  • Experience in hospitality industry
  • Experience dealing with suppliers
  • Ability to travel regularly to the Melbourne site
