Position Summary:
The Starts at 60 group is looking experienced Financial Manager with previous experience in the travel industry to manage our financial operations, administration and reporting, as we continue to grow.
This role reports to the CEO and supports the Executive team.
The role will oversee our three operating businesses:
· Starts at 60 - Media platform
· Travel at 60 - Retail Travel Business
· Travel Central – Online Travel Business
Your role will play an integral part to drive this business' performance and growth and guide financial operations at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
The role will include but not be limited to:
· Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations across the Group.
· Coordinate and process the fortnightly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
· Support Human Resources with administrative duties, including record-keeping and documentation management.
· Monitor and manage banking activities, including transaction processing, approvals, and reconciliations.
· Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely and accurate processing.
· Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial reports and management accounts.
· Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts to support business planning and liquidity management.
· Ensure timely and accurate submission of all compliance obligations, including IAS, BAS, Superannuation, and Payroll Tax.
· Liaise with external service providers for tax preparation, audits, banking, investment management, and other financial services as needed.
· Monitor the company's financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
· Develop and implement strategies to minimise financial risks to the company.
· Stay current with technological advancements and best practices in accounting and financial management.
· Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
· Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and legislation.
· Collaborate with senior management to contribute to the development of the company's strategic and operational plans.
· Attend to all insurance requirements.
Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, including variance analysis and reporting.

Education and Experience
· Advanced degree in accounting, business, economics, finance, or a related field;
· CA or CPA qualified (ideally)
· Highly proficient in Excel
· Travel industry experience preferred
· At least 3-5 years of experience in finance;

· Xero experience will be a great asset
