The role

As Maintenance Manager, you'll oversee the maintenance, repair, and lifecycle management of Unyte's plant and assets. You'll lead workshop and maintenance teams, manage subcontractors and suppliers, control budgets, and ensure all equipment operates safely, compliantly, and at peak efficiency.

You'll play a critical role in minimising downtime, improving asset reliability, and supporting project delivery across multiple regions.

Your everyday

  • Oversee preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and defect management across the fleet.
  • Ensure all plant, tools, and equipment meet OEM, legislative, and Unyte safety standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in asset uptime, reliability, and lifecycle performance.
  • Lead and develop workshop and maintenance teams, driving accountability and retention.
  • Manage safety, quality, and compliance through audits, risk registers, SWMS, and incident response.
  • Oversee maintenance systems, asset tracking, prestarts, and continuous process improvement.
  • Control maintenance budgets, forecasting, reporting, and performance insights for leadership.

Who are you?

  • 10+ years' experience in a senior maintenance or asset management role.
  • Strong background in plant, heavy equipment, or fleet maintenance.
  • Proven leadership experience managing workshop and maintenance teams.
  • Deep knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and asset lifecycle planning.
  • Strong commercial acumen — budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working with CMMS / ERP systems and asset tracking software.
  • Mechanical certification or engineering background (preferred).
  • Willingness to travel interstate and regionally as required.
