About the role

The Grants Officer supports the effective administration of grants across 24 Hour, Screen and Sound programs, helping to ensure funding is delivered transparently, efficiently and in line with government policies and processes. You will be involved in coordinating activities across the full lifecycle of grants, from application and contract management through to financial acquittal, reporting and compliance.

You will also provide guidance and technical support to colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring systems and processes run smoothly and funding outcomes are achieved. The role involves maintaining accurate records, supporting consistent reporting and analysis, and building collaborative relationships to strengthen the delivery of grants and programs across the sector.

About You

You are someone who can balance strong attention to detail with the ability to build positive working relationships. You are confident working with a range of stakeholders, from colleagues to external partners, and are able to explain processes clearly to people with different levels of experience. You're also comfortable managing competing priorities, providing timely information, and supporting decision-making through accurate reporting and analysis.

You bring an understanding of grants management in a government setting and experience using grants systems such as OneGMS, SmartyGrants, or similar platforms. You are adaptable and solutions-focused, keen to improve processes and help ensure funding programs are delivered fairly, consistently and with lasting benefit.
