About the Role

We're looking for a passionate
Software Engineer
to join our Gentu Practice Management team. You'll help build and evolve our industry-leading SaaS platform used by medical specialists across Australia. Reporting to the
Engineering Manager
, you'll work closely with product, design, and other engineers to deliver high-impact features and continuously improve the developer experience.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality features using Ruby on Rails, Typescript, , and AWS
  • Collaborate with your team to solve problems and share knowledge
  • Design, build, test, and maintain scalable software solutions
  • Influence team practices and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Manage cross-team dependencies and communicate clearly with stakeholders
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and DevOps practices

About You

You're a purpose-driven developer who thrives in agile environments and enjoys working with modern tech to solve real-world problems.

You'll bring:

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, Typescript, , and React
  • Familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms
  • Solid understanding of software development practices (TDD, CI/CD, DevOps)
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases
  • A collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
  • A formal qualification in Computer Science or related field
