About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at SALT Movement & Recovery as a Lead Strength & Conditioning Coach. In this casual role, you will be based in the modern fitness studio in East Melbourne VIC 3002, where you will be responsible for developing and delivering world-class strength and conditioning classes to help our clients reach their fitness goals. You will also be servicing our diverse Personal Training clientelle.
What you'll be doing (S&C classes)
- Program and implement comprehensive strength and conditioning classes tailored to the specific needs and goals of our members
- Lead group training sessions, providing expert coaching and motivation to help clients achieve their fitness objectives
- Monitor client progress and adjust sessions accordingly to ensure continuous improvement
- Collaborate with other SALT trainers to ensure a high quality member experience.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of SALT's strength and conditioning methodologies
What you'll be doing (1:1 Personal Training)
- Onboard new Personal Training clients
- Take Personal Training clients through individualised training sessions, based on their individual fitness and wellness goals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to client progress and programme delivery
What we're looking for
- Someone who fits the culture at SALT - hard working, takes pride in their work and loves sport.
- A recognised qualification in Exercise Science, Sport & Exercise Science, Strength & Conditioning, Personal Training or a related field
- Extensive experience (5+ years) as a strength and conditioning coach, ideally within a fitness studio or high-performance sports setting
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based strength training principles, motor control, motor leanring, programming, and periodisation
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire clients
- A passion for health, fitness, and helping others achieve their goals
- Current first aid and CPR certifications
- A reliable morning person who can start work around 5:15am.
