About the Role:

Due to ongoing growth and expansion we are looking to recruit a Senior Insolvency Consultant in any of our Australian offices (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Canberra).

We operate a collegiate work model where you will work directly with Principals and are actively encouraged and supported to pursue your own career objectives.

This role will provide you with exposure to a full range of formal insolvency appointments such as voluntary administrations, liquidation, receiverships and bankruptcy as well as informal engagements such as investigative accounting and restructuring/turnaround engagements.

Tasks could include a mix of:

  • Day to day assistance on a wide variety of formal and informal corporate and personal insolvency appointments on behalf of the appointees
  • Conduct a range of financial analysis and investigative tasks
  • Provide turnaround, restructuring and insolvency solutions to the firm's client base
  • Prepare reports to creditors, directors, financial institutions and investors
  • Monitor and meet statutory deadlines
  • Liaise with financiers, lawyers, agents, and auctioneers
  • Maintain register of appointments that the team is responsible for and ensure tasks and timelines are set weekly for the advancement of those appointments

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years' experience in restructuring and insolvency matters including formal appointments
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Advanced written communication and strong report writing skills
  • A developed understanding of insolvency, restructuring and accounting principles, including an understanding of statutory requirements required for different types of engagements and strong financial analysis skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or similar field
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification
