About the job
This role is responsible for supporting customer growth by managing complex requests involving multiple service applications, administering SA Water frameworks that assist the Development Industry, and providing proactive customer engagement throughout the process.

The Customer, Community and Engagement group drives customer outcomes by delivering exceptional experiences and tailored solutions that grow business, revenue, and the state economy, while actively engaging with communities, and collecting valuable feedback.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.
You will:
- Analyse and manage complex, interrelated service applications for developments and work with the customers and internal stakeholders to determine the requirements to facilitate a successful connection.
- Identify and action non-standard work for estimation of costs and ensure correct fees are passed on to the customer.
- Provide expert & accurate information/response to customers and relevant stakeholders, within specified timeframes in an empathetic, timely and tailored manner.
- Review Final Plans uploaded to the State Planning Commission to facilitate clearance of SA Water requirements and allow for creation of new titles, confirming easements are correct.
- Deliver professional, clear and accurate customer service and advice across all functions undertaken in the Development Services Team.
- Identify and participate in service and business improvements and procedures and process documentation is current and supports the delivery of water/recycled water and sewerage services to SA Water customers.
Your success in this role will come from:
- Qualifications in Customer Service, Business Administration or Land Development related field, or equivalent extensive demonstrated experience
- Experience in IBM Maximo applications
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of exemplary customer service and telephone techniques
- Understanding the principles of water and sewerage design and construction
- Demonstrated understanding of the Waterworks and Sewerage Act legislation and corporate policies relating to land developments, mains extensions and connections
- Attention to detail and accuracy
