Australasian Mining Services (AMS) is a leading supplier of high-performance drilling consumables to the Australian mining industry. Our focus is on delivering cost effective innovative products that improve safety, productivity, and efficiency on site.

Due to our growth journey we're seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to drive the design, development, and optimisation of our drilling consumables. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly influence the quality and performance of products used across drilling operations.

What You'll Do

  • Design and refine mechanical components to meet customer's specification.
  • Provide product technical support and troubleshooting for customers and internal teams.
  • Manage QA/QC processes to maintain ISO 9001 accreditation.
  • Prepare and maintain engineering records, including specifications, calculations, measurements, and reports.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years in the design, development, or optimisation of mining equipment, drilling products, or related consumables.
  • Strong grasp of mechanical design and failure analysis.
  • Proficient in CAD (SolidWorks).
  • Skilled problem-solver with both design and field experience.
  • Knowledge of mining industry standards and drilling technologies.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
  • Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to manage projects independently.
