Camco Engineering, a leading mechanical engineering company in Perth, Western Australia, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at our head office in Canning Vale.

About the role

In this role, you will design mechanical systems for both client and internal projects:

  • Proficient in 3D modelling, detail drawings using SolidWorks or other similar 3D CAD systems.
  • Experience reverse engineering of existing mechanical and structural components.
  • Collaborating with project managers to meet technical requirements.
  • Perform engineering design calculations ensure compliance with Australian standards.

About you:

  • A minimum of 4 - 5 years' professional experience in mechanical engineering design.
  • Core understanding of fundamental mechanical engineering principles.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Experience with FEA Simulation such as ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation or similar FEA systems
  • Experience designing mechanical lifting and transport structures and mechanical component design, using Australian standards.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivated, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Australian Resident, with Full working rights.
