- Shape strategy, culture and growth of a high-performing Community Bank
- Develop and lead a passionate, customer-focused team with strong local support
- Enjoy strategic autonomy and support from a highly engaged local board
The Position
Are you ready to shape the future of a successful, community-focused bank?
Warrandyte Community Bank, part of the Bendigo and Adelaide Bank network, is seeking a visionary Senior Branch Manager to lead its next phase of growth. This is not just another branch role, this is your opportunity to set the strategy, build the culture, and drive the impact of a high-performing team and business.
With a strong foundation of trust, performance, and deep local engagement, the Warrandyte Community Bank has an impressive track record of success. Now, we are ready to go further, to grow our financial footprint and give even more back to the local community we proudly serve.
We've never been 'just a bank'. Just like you should never be 'just an employee'. We're united in our belief that in banking, better can be bigger, and together we're making it happen.
Your role as Senior Branch Manager will be responsible for leading a large and diverse team and building the strategic plan to gain market share for the localised area. You will spend a large portion of your time utilising your business development skills to build long-term connections with local community groups, stakeholders and partners to drive business opportunities for the branch.
What We Are Looking For
We're seeking a skilled and aspirational people leader who is looking to make a difference and grow with us. You'll be:
- A confident leader from banking, financial services or a related industry.
- Motivated by purpose and results, equally comfortable with people leadership and commercial accountability.
- Excited by the opportunity to shape the culture of a dynamic team and foster deep community connection.
- Energised by autonomy and strategic thinking, with strong operational and risk management capability.
- Open to learning and supported by a highly involved board who are committed to your professional growth.
What You'll Do
- Lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and achieve growth targets.
- Collaborate with the Board to design and execute local business strategies.
- Champion a strong risk and compliance culture, ensuring all governance standards are met.
- Promote the bank within the community and build strategic relationships to drive business development.
- Deliver operational excellence and maintain financial oversight, including P&L and lending quality.
The Organisation
Community Banking operates on a shared revenue model based on 'profit-with-purpose'. This approach ensures that the profits generated are reinvested directly into the communities that create them, funding local initiatives such as infrastructure improvements, event sponsorships, and scholarship programs. By joining a Community Bank branch, you become part of a dedicated team focused on promoting local growth and nurturing meaningful relationships. Our branch staff are actively engaged in community events, providing support to small businesses, and addressing the specific needs of the community.
You'll be working for a certified social enterprise company that contributes to community prosperity. This role offers the unique opportunity for professional growth whilst also enabling positive community impact.
- Our team also get access to a great range of benefits, including:
- Health and wellbeing support, including discounted gym memberships, private health insurance options, and our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you and your immediate family members
- Take your learning to the next level through our corporate university 'BEN U'
