Within the context of the role accountabilities described in About the Role, the most suitable applicant will demonstrate their applied knowledge, skills and experiences against these essential role requirements of the Individual Contributor leadership stream:

The ICT Policy Officer must have very strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage stakeholders with competing needs and demands

You should have high level technical writing skills and a strong knowledge of ICT governance and be able to translate this into policies and procedures

Understands the relationship between ICT work and the broader QCS requirements

Ability to analyse requirements and advise on scope and options for continuous operational improvement

Demonstrated ability to engage, consult, share information and effectively communicate with stakeholders

Proven ability to design, develop and implement changes to operational policies, systems and creative solutions as required in a changing environment

There are no mandatory requirements for this role, however a knowledge of the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture is desirable.

Other conditions and requirements

There may be instances where the incumbent will be required to work hours outside the normal work hours, undertake travel to other locations, or temporarily work from an alternate location.
