We're a leading manufacturer of precision gearboxes, industrial winches, and advanced fluid power solutions. We're looking for a motivated Mechanical Trade Assistant to support our skilled team and contribute to our reputation for engineering excellence.

Job Details:

  • Rate: $35.15/hour

  • Hours: 38 hours/week (Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM – 2:30 PM)

  • Full-time, ongoing position

About the Role:

Work alongside experienced mechanical tradespeople in a modern workshop environment, developing your mechanical skills and contributing to high-quality industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Assist with assembly, maintenance, and repair of gearboxes, winches, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems

  • Workshop Preparation: Organize tools, materials, and components

  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality checks and basic measurements

  • Testing Support: Assist with equipment testing and commissioning

  • Workshop Management: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and inventory control

Essential Requirements:

  • Basic understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, and pneumatics

  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment

  • Current forklift license and driver's license

  • Strong team collaboration and communication skills

  • Unlimited working rights in Australia
