The Talent Initiative is partnering with one of our favourite clients to find an experienced Business Analyst who thrives at the intersection of energy trading, risk management, and technology.

Join a global leader and play a pivotal role supporting an asset portfolio and energy contracts across Europe and Australia. You'll work closely with traders, risk managers, and IT teams to drive business analysis, functional design, and continuous improvement in a dynamic, high-stakes environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Partnering with traders and risk teams to gather and document requirements for trade booking, risk reporting, and lifecycle events.
  • Analyzing and enhancing processes, workflows, and system behaviors for greater efficiency and compliance.
  • Acting as the bridge between business users and IT, translating needs into actionable solutions.
  • Designing and validating workflows, data flows, and functional specs for trade and risk systems.
  • Leading UAT, supporting go-live, and ensuring robust change management and post-deployment support.
  • Championing continuous improvement and meticulous documentation.

What You Bring:

  • Strong understanding of the energy trading lifecycle (pricing, Greeks, P&L, valuation).
  • Experience working with stakeholders across front office, risk, and IT.
  • Proven ability to translate business needs into functional design and system improvements.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
