Job description
Opportunity knocks for an established fleet and logistics coordinator to work on the landmark Reko Diq 'mega project' in Pakistan, where you will be overseeing and reporting on all project-related logistics movements in-country.

Working on an expat 6/3 weeks FIFO basis, from any global point of hire, the Fleet Operations Superintendent will provide real-time Management and operational engagement of all logistics operations. This role acts as a bridge between the company and the national transportation company and is responsible for proactively delivering defined objectives, managing transport operations including subcontractors. In addition, managing the business in terms of identifying bottlenecks, escalating critical delays, and supporting KPIs reporting to enhance transport efficiency

Key Responsibilites include:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with all key internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and operational alignment.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure operational integrity and effectiveness. This includes real-time tracking of fleet movements, transit times, and delivery compliance.
  • Overseeing daily fleet operations which includes short- and long-term scheduling.
  • Guarantee that all logistics operations, including those of subcontractors, strictly adhere to local, federal, and state regulations, as well as all safety protocols.
  • Proactively plan for short- and long-term freight requirements, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors. Implement a real-time reporting system for operational issues, route deviations, or delays, and develop mitigation plans to address them promptly.
  • Manage real-time oversight of the RDMC fleet through NLC's tracking systems
  • Track and report on key transport KPIs daily. Provide detailed weekly performance reports and maintain a daily log of all movements and incidents.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for operational staff to resolve on-the-ground challenges quickly and effectively.

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Transport Management, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in fleet operations or logistics coordination.
  • Prior exposure to coordination with government transport bodies is preferred.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with transport KPIs, tracking tools, and incident logging.
  • Ability to work independently in a field environment with minimal supervision
  • Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, and presentation and spread sheet applications.
