About The OpportunityiContracting are seeking to appoint an experienced Mining Production Superintendent to join our high performing Load and Haul Operations. You will play a key role in responsibility of the safe and efficient management of all production activities on site. Leading a team to deliver production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence. Overseeing operations utilising a fleet of 100-ton class haul trucks and CAT 992 Loaders, ensuring optimal productivity, equipment utilisation, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational leadership to manage daily load and haul operations
  • Achieve or exceed production, safety and cost targets
  • Coordinate with maintenance and client mine planning team to ensure smooth and efficient mine production
  • Oversee fleet management systems to maximise equipment utilisation and minimise downtime
  • Safety and compliance, promoting strong safety culture through visible leadership, coaching and safety management systems
  • People leadership, supervise, mentor, and develop Production Supervisors, Leading Hands and Operators to build capability and performance
  • Stakeholder engagement, liaise with internal stakeholders, including technical services, maintenance, and project management teams
  • Contribute to operational planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes

About You

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in open pit mining, with at least 3-5 years in a Superintendent or equivalent leadership role
  • Proven experience managing large scale load and haul operations
  • Strong understanding of mine planning, production scheduling, and fleet management systems
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, leadership, and operational excellence
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or related discipline, preferred but not essential
  • Current WA Quarry Manager's Certificate or ability to obtain, highly regarded
