Based in Brisbane, this permanent AO7 Principal Advisor – Change and Release Management role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of ICT operations in a dynamic government environment. We're seeking a strategic and driven professional to lead our department's ICT Change and Release Management Framework. In this pivotal role, you'll help to develop the change and release management processes and oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of ICT changes to support seamless implementation and minimal disruption to digital services.
As a Principal Advisor, you'll work across teams to embed best practices, drive operational excellence, and support the delivery of innovative digital solutions that benefit Queenslanders.

In this role, you'll lead the design, implementation, and management of the department's ICT change and release management framework, ensuring it aligns with organisational priorities and governance standards. You'll develop processes that ensure enterprise system changes are well-planned, effectively communicated, and smoothly executed, minimising disruptions and building confidence among stakeholders.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include coordinating release schedules, collaborating with technical and business teams, and providing expert advice to senior leadership. You'll also oversee risk management, facilitate workshops to promote best practices, and conduct post-release reviews to drive continuous improvement. This is a dynamic and rewarding role where your ability to lead, engage stakeholders, and manage competing priorities will be essential.
