Melbourne, Victoria, Australia FourPL - Supply Chain Specialists Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

About the Role

We are seeking an accomplished Systems Integration Consultant to join our team, responsible for designing and implementing integration solutions across enterprise systems. In this capacity, you will serve as a liaison between business objectives and technical execution, engaging proactively with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop system enhancements that facilitate seamless data exchange among applications. Key responsibilities include assessing current processes, recommending optimal integration approaches, and delivering robust solutions that drive operational efficiency.

As a Systems Integration Consultant, you will take ownership of the solution design and implementation lifecycle. This position demands expertise in translating complex business requirements into actionable technical plans, fostering close collaboration with stakeholders, and ensuring efficient data integration between disparate systems. You will be tasked with conducting thorough process evaluations, formulating effective integration strategies, and overseeing the delivery of solutions—with a strong focus on requirements analysis, architectural design, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders to gather and document integration requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of business needs and technical specifications.
  • Analyse current business processes and IT systems to identify integration requirements, inefficiencies in workflows, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Convert business needs into detailed functional specifications and mapping documents for developers. Use data and process modelling to produce system specs that direct integration software design and development.
  • Recommend optimal solutions and best practices to enhance system functionality and business processes.
  • Design and develop integration solutions (workflows, interfaces, APIs) using enterprise tools like Microsoft Azure Integration Services or Workato. Configure connectors and APIs to maintain data integrity and security, ensuring all systems meet user specifications.
  • Develop and execute system test plans for integrations, testing and debugging workflows to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity. Ensure deployed solutions meet quality standards and maintain system integrity. Quickly troubleshoot and resolve integration issues to keep data flowing smoothly and minimise downtime.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation including technical design specifications, data mapping schemas, process flow diagrams, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Create or contribute to user and training documentation, and assist in conducting training or handover sessions to ensure smooth adoption of integration solutions.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams – including software developers, business analysts, project managers, and client representatives – throughout the project lifecycle to deliver successful integration outcomes.
  • Act as a central reference and subject-matter expert on integration systems, providing guidance and support in decision-making processes for system enhancements.
  • Ensure all integration solutions comply with enterprise security policies, industry regulations, and data privacy laws. Implement authentication, encryption, and other best-practice security measures to meet organisational and regulatory requirements.

Pre-requisites

  • 3-5 years of proven integration experience including proficiency in enterprise integration platforms like Microsoft Azure Integration Services, Workato, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated background and experience in procurement and supply chain systems, including SAP, Coupa, or equivalent
  • Strong data mapping and problem-solving skills.
  • Programming knowledge (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in complex API-led integration projects.
  • Strong understanding of REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML based web service APIs.
  • Ability to influence others to adopt best practices in warehousing operations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Qualifications

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications
  • Relevant professional certifications or accreditations related to integration platforms such as Microsoft Azure Integration Services and Workato, as well as procurement and supply chain systems including SAP and Coupa, are highly regarded.
