The Opportunity
Securecorp is currently seeking a professional and experienced
Retail
Security Supervisor
to join our dedicated team at a busy retail site in Tasmania. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role within a high-profile environment, supporting one of our valued clients.
This role is Monday - Friday.
In this role, you will report to the Securecorp Business Manager, with overall responsibility for ensuring the safety and security of the site, its staff, and visitors. You will lead a team of security professionals while driving operational excellence and fostering a positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, support, and mentor a team of Security Guards to ensure high levels of performance, training, and motivation.
- Oversee daily security operations including access control, CCTV monitoring, patrolling, and incident management.
- Serve as the primary on-site contact for all security-related matters, collaborating closely with client leadership and internal stakeholders.
- Develop and refine site-specific security procedures to reduce risk and enhance operational efficiency.
- Take a lead role during emergencies, coordinating effectively with emergency services and internal teams.
- Conduct regular team briefings, drills, and training sessions to ensure preparedness and compliance.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including incident reports and daily activity logs.
- Perform thorough investigations as required.
- Ensure compliance with Securecorp's policies, procedures, and the client's global security standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or manager position within a the retail sector (preferred)
- At least 2 years of security experience within a retail environment (preferred)
- A current and valid TAS Security Licence.
- First Aid and CPR certification (current)
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent report writing, administrative, and documentation skills.
- A polished, professional presentation and a customer-focused mindset.
