About the Role
In this role you will undertake a range of tasks for the effective delivery of Home Maintenance and Home Modifications services and provide information and referral to residents requiring tradesman's assistance.

You will also:

• Install essential safety equipment such as handrails and handheld showers, following specifications of referring Occupational Therapists

• Complete administrative tasks and maintain accurate records relating to job activities, costs and client documentation and forms

• Undertake comprehensive OH&S checks on clients and make recommendations to ensure their personal safety

• Provide information and referral to clients about other City of Darebin home maintenance or other Council services they may be eligible for

Skills & Experience

• Demonstrated experience in a related field

• Trade qualifications in carpentry or building (desirable)

• Experience in home maintenance work and routine repairs

• Experience in the safe use of power and hand held tools

• Current Victorian driver's licence (essential)

• Current First Aid/ CPR Certificate

• Employee Working with Children Card

• Completion of Asbestos Identification Training and 'working at heights' training would be considered advantageous
