About the role

As a Scheduler/Estimator, you will play a vital role in estimating, scheduling, programming and delivery of projects. Your accuracy and attention to detail will support smooth project delivery.

Working closely with site supervisors, office staff, and suppliers, you'll manage the flow of information and ensure projects are completed efficiently. This is a key role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values accuracy, and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare tenders and budget estimates for multiple projects.
• Liaise with suppliers via phone and email to coordinate pricing and lead times.
• Support and communicate with site supervisors regularly to ensure seamless on-site execution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders such as Engineers, Material Suppliers, Clients and Transport companies.
• Quality and Assurance review and recording of install records after job completion.
• Adjust budgets as required throughout the lifecycle of the project, and action contract variations.
• Maintain organised records and filing systems for supplier quotes and tenders.
• Work closely with office and site teams to improve timelines, pricing accuracy and procedures.
• Review estimates and variations, ensuring documentation aligns with final concepts.
• Follow company procedures and ensure consistency with internal standards.
• Review and update Safety and Environment project documentation ensuring up to date documents and procedures are being adhered to.

About You

• Proven experience as an Estimator or Scheduler, preferably in the construction or a related industry.
• Experience in general construction projects is essential for this role.
• Minimum 2-3 years of experience as an Estimator or Scheduler is required.
• Proficiency with estimating and scheduling software (e.g., MS Excel, or similar industry tools).
• Demonstrated proficiency with multiple industry estimating and scheduling software tools is required.
• Proficiency with MS Excel for estimating and scheduling purposes is required.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines under pressure.
• Australian citizenship is required for this position.

Desirable

• Relevant certifications or vocational qualifications (e.g., Certificate IV in Building).
• Experience with residential and/or commercial construction projects.
