Myer is looking for a Finance Manager to support its five Apparel Brands businesses; Just Jeans, Portmans, Jay Jays, Jacqui E, and Dotti. Reporting directly to the General Manager Finance – Apparel Brands, the Finance Manager will be responsible for brand review & analysis, divisional cost control and budget & projection review.

About the role:

• Review and monitor Brand P&Ls against projection and budget.  Understand results and how they relate to business activities.
• Prepare a monthly executive summary of brand results for distribution to management.
• Meet with brand General Managers to present P&L results each month.
• Prepare and/or review monthly management reports for key divisional cost centres.  Meet with cost centre owners on a monthly basis to discuss results against budget and projection.
• Advise cost centre owners in regards to cost management opportunities and other financial/commercial matters
• Assist business/cost centre owners with preparation of budgets/projections.
• Review overall brand P&L budgets to ensure accurate and consistent with plans/brand strategies.  Assist in the preparation of budget reports for the Board.
• Prepare and/or review monthly, seasonal and annual projections to ensure accuracy and integrity.  Understand, confirm and challenge assumptions built into projections.  Ensure that overall brand projections are in line with commercial and merchandising team plans.
• Ensure that cost centre managers are actively working towards cost projections.
• Support the Myer Finance and Integration teams to deliver ABs transition to Myer accounting systems;
• Work effectively with various stakeholders from Myer and Just Group to deliver the transition milestones;

About you:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA.
• 3 years post CA/CPA work experience
• Confident communicator, comfortable partnering with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
• Commercially curious, with a mindset for process improvement and innovation.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Skilled in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling and ERP systems
