About the role

We are seeking an experienced Sewing Machinist and Samples Fabricator to join our dynamic team at Victoria Carpets in Dandenong North, VIC. This full-time role is responsible for creating high-quality sample products that showcase our latest carpet designs and innovations.

What you'll be doing

  • Operating industrial sewing machines to fabricate carpet samples as per design specifications
  • Ensuring all samples adhere to quality standards and meet the required specifications
  • Collaborating with the department manager to ensure workflows are followed and targets are met
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment
  • Providing input and suggestions to improve sample production processes

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Sewing Machinist or in a similar role within the manufacturing, textiles or carpet industry
  • Strong proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and related equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality control mindset
  • Ability to follow basic instructions
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities
