Disability Support Workers – Expression of Interest (Regional SA)

Gecko SA Pty Ltd is a small, regionally based NDIS-registered provider delivering flexible, person-centred supports across the Southern Flinders and Upper Spencer Gulf. We provide Positive Behaviour Support, psychosocial recovery coaching, one-to-one support, and small-group community and nature-based programs. Our practice is grounded in respect, collaboration, low-arousal support, and meaningful connection.

We are currently building a pool of Support Workers to assist with upcoming referrals across our service regions. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing organisation and work in a way that values relationships, dignity, and strengths-based support.

About the Role:

Support Workers empower NDIS participants to live well — at home, in the community, and in their everyday routines. Work may include daily living support, emotional regulation and communication support, community access, personal care, and participation in activities that build confidence, independence, and belonging.

This is an expression of interest — shifts are offered as referrals come in. If you are someone with a calm, patient, and respectful approach who enjoys supporting people to grow and thrive, we would love to hear from you.

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting people with disability (paid or lived experience considered)
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work respectfully with participants and families
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening (or willingness to obtain)
  • Driver's licence and reliable car
  • Flexibility to work across weekdays and some weekends or evenings as needed

Desirable:

  • Certificate III or higher, or willingness to undertake relevant training
  • First aid/CPR, WWCC, mental health or behaviour support skillsets

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $40.00 – $54.50 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 20 per week
