Downer RTS is a market leader in rollingstock asset management, offering end-to-end solutions across design, manufacture, maintenance, and overhaul. Our team manages strategic relationships with critical suppliers to support Through-Life Support (TLS) activities and deliver innovative turnkey solutions for complex rail projects nationwide.
The Opportunity
As the Procurement Delivery Manager, you will:
- Work closely with engineering, delivery and commercial teams to align procurement strategies with project needs.
- Lead procurement planning and execution in support of critical TLS activities ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Build and nurture relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Identify and implement procurement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Participate in strategic planning and workshops to align procurement activities with broader business objectives.
- Drive supplier performance, contract management, and risk mitigation.
About you

- Eagerness to learn and develop managerial and leadership capabilities.
For Experienced Procurement Managers:
- 5+ years in procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles (rail, infrastructure, engineering, or manufacturing preferred).
- Proven track record in supplier negotiations, contract management, and project delivery.
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills.
For Aspiring Procurement Professionals:
- Solid experience in engineering, operations, project management, or commercial roles.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, solve problems, and influence outcomes.
- Eagerness to learn procurement best practices and develop new skills.
Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Commerce, etc.).
- Professional certifications (CIPS, MCIPS, CPP/CPPM, APICS, or equivalent) are a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel/Word/Outlook/Power BI).
