**About the role**
We have an opportunity for a **Multicultural Community Liaison Officer** (MCLO) to be part of our Auburn Police Area Command. The Multicultural Community Liaison Officer is responsible for providing advice and support in the management of multicultural issues for NSWPF. They establish and maintain close personal rapport, implement strategies to engage and work effectively with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities and influence responsive and sensitive service delivery to these communities.
**A Working With Children Check (WWCC) is a prerequisite for this role.**

**Target Question 1**:
A key focus of the Multicultural Community Liaison Officer role involves supporting Police to deliver quality services that are responsive to the needs and expectations of the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities. Using examples from your own work experiences, explain how you would work with communities from different cultural/language backgrounds to your own, especially those who might be resistant to working with local police.
**Target Question 2**:
Multicultural Community Liaison Officer's are often called on to assist police in time critical events, due to the fact they have built rapport and maintained close relationships with multiple stakeholders for the local police. Using your own experiences, provide an example of where you have addressed an emerging issue arising from a particular Culturally and Linguistically Diverse community and the relevant outcome for your organisation. Identify the techniques/strategies you used, and the partnerships you developed (if any).
