HR & Payroll Support Officer

The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated HR & Payroll Support Officer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis at our corporate head office in Gordonvale.

Reporting to the Group HR and Payroll Manager, this role provides comprehensive administration support across a wide range of human resources and payroll functions, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and a positive employee experience across MSF Sugar.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide proactive and efficient administrative support to the HR and Payroll teams
• Maintain accurate HR records, including contracts, personnel files, and compliance documentation
• Assist with end-to-end payroll processing, including timesheet review and leave tracking, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
• Support the preparation and distribution of employment contracts, offer letters, and HR documents in line with company policies and legislation
• Act as a first point of contact for employee queries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies, providing guidance or escalating where necessary

The ideal candidate will have:

• Qualification in HR, Business, or a related discipline (desirable but not essential)
• Experience in HR or payroll administration (advantageous but not required)
• Current Queensland Driver's Licence
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
