The Role
We are looking for a dynamic, adaptable and collaborative individual who is committed to effectively leading The Arts team. You should ideally be an outstanding educator and be willing to take on significant levels of accountability and change management. As Program Coordinator - The Arts, you will become part of our committed Leadership Team and work collaboratively with Arts staff, students and the wider school community to provide educational leadership through developing and promoting the school's vision and strategic directions.
You should ideally possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to cooperatively lead and manage a vibrant Arts team to provide students with the highest quality curriculum delivery and programs. You will ideally be innovative, knowledgeable and possess thorough understandings of instructional and curriculum leadership whilst keeping abreast of the latest developments pertaining to the Arts Learning Area and the Business Plan. You should ideally be reflective, assessing the effectiveness of the Arts Learning Area, teaching practice and assist to cultivate a safe and accountable learning environment.
Applicants should have an excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Arts Curriculum and proven ability to teach across Years 7 to 12. You will lead in a culturally responsive manner and provide the best learning opportunities for students; experience in developing and leading an Indigenous Arts program will be viewed as highly desirable.
The successful applicant would promote active learning and provide engaging learning activities which facilitate students at all levels achieving their potential. Applicants will ideally be improvement focused, participate in ongoing professional learning opportunities and continually reflect on their own teaching and leadership practice to enhance student engagement and achievement outcomes.

Eligibility

- hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
