About the role
The National Tennis Academy (NTA) Coach is responsible for the long-term, holistic development and performance of assigned Tennis Australia-supported athletes, covering technical, tactical, physical, mental, and character growth. This high-performance, athlete-facing role focuses on individualised development planning and coaching, aligned with the Performance Philosophy of striving to be the best version of yourself every day.
In this role you will:
- Deliver a world-class training environment, personalising technical and tactical development for assigned athletes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff (Head Coach, S&C, Psychology, Nutrition, Sports Analysis, Education) to ensure holistic growth.
- Travel nationally and internationally with athletes (20–30 weeks annually).
- Embed and uphold national coaching standards and philosophy
- Contribute to national coach education and workshops.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Demonstrated success coaching elite tennis athletes at national/international level
- High Performance Coach qualification (or willingness to attain)
- Previous international playing experience
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement holistic athlete development plans
- A current Police Check and Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain)
- Preparedness to be flexible in regard to working hours and arrangements relating to work associated with Tennis Australia
