About the Role

Going into 2026 we're looking for a highly skilled, hands-on and motivated Senior Funding Operations Officer to join our growing team and portfolio of mortgage funds.

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, in this role you'll be responsible for the day-to-day financial management and accounting for Funding's mortgage funds, working closely with external stakeholders and our close-knit team of fellow financial services professionals based here in the heart of the Gold Coast.

What Will You Be Doing?

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial management of our diverse fund and trust structures including:

  • Ownership of reconciliations of bank account, Xero and internal lending and investment platform.

  • Ownership of transactional duties to facilitate investments and disbursements.
  • Own reliable and timely delivery of investment instructions to various parties within the investment, lending and disbursement chain.
  • Deliver operational excellence and accuracy in the recording, reconciliation and reporting of financial transactions and records
  • Assist with the management and monitoring of daily fund and trust cash flows
  • Assist with the onboarding of new investors, investor management activities and preparation of investor comms and reporting
  • Identify and champion smarter ways of working to further leverage and enhance our tech enabled systems and processes
  • Liaise with external stakeholders and service providers as required from time to time
  • Support the wider Finance and Investment teams to deliver ongoing continuous improvement to boost productivity and operational efficiency

What Are We Looking For?

  • A 'can-do' attitude and proven ability to work collaboratively within a small but growing team.
  • Highly accountable, transparent and reliable operator who is comfortable at both being a trusted team player and an autonomous high achiever.
  • Advanced Excel skills with a demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently collect, manipulate, report and interpret diverse data-sets.
  • 2-5 years in funding operations, payment operations, accounting or a closely-related role, ideally with a CA or CPA qualification or working towards.
  • Comfortable dealing with change and a proven background in driving process improvement.
  • Highly organised with a focus on detail and delivering solution orientated outcomes in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A background in and knowledge of AFSL and AML/CFT compliance programmes would be valuable.
