Currumbin RSL is hiring a Casual/Temporary hours Events Supervisor role in Currumbin, QLD. Apply now to be part of our team.

We are a popular, recently renovated venue with fantastic facilities for everyone to enjoy. Everything you'd come to expect from an outstanding Queensland venue. Great, friendly service, entertainment and exceptional food and beverage.

The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, a great team mindset and be comfortable working in a large busy venue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise, and mentor the Events Food & Beverage team during shifts
  • Brief staff at the start of each shift, coordinate duties, and manage breaks
  • Oversee event operations, ensuring exceptional service and smooth execution
  • Handle event enquiries and bookings in the reservations system
  • Provide on-the-job training and support staff development
  • Monitor and provide feedback on staff performance, presentation, and service standards
  • Foster a positive working relationship with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service
  • Maintain cleanliness, safety, and compliance with legislation and responsible service standards
  • Manage and resolve minor staff or patron issues professionally and escalate where required
  • Assist with hands-on Food and Beverage service when needed
The Ideal Candidate Will Have the Following Skills
  • Previous supervisory experience in hospitality, preferably in events or functions
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to motivate a team
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Clear communication skills and a strong customer service focus
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements
  • Current RSA certification
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on teamwork and professionalism
