Job Description
The Opportunity
As a travel coordinator you will manage travel bookings for Abt's program teams in accordance with Abt's travel program policies and procedures.

Core Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all travel domestic and international arrangements (air, lodgings, vehicle hire, transfers etc) for program and corporate business travellers in alignment with corporate and program policies;
  • Support the Travel Manager with the continued devolution of travel management to program teams, including supporting with capacity building as requested by the Travel Manager;
  • Support the Travel Manager with the implementation of travel management systems and software;
  • Ensure compliance with the travel policy and support the travel policy custodian with maintaining updates to policies;
  • Maintain good working relationships with the travel management company, airlines, hotels and other travel-related vendors;
  • Maintain good working relationships with the program teams, corporate and program finance teams and the Program Delivery team;
  • Support the Travel Manager with collaborating with the Senior Safeguarding and WHSS Specialist on all incident management processes that may impact travellers, including participation in the relationship management with the third-party provider and reporting on access and useability of safety monitoring tools (for example Travel tracker);
  • Support the Travel Manager with the smooth transition to a new travel management company, and support all business units with updates required to processes and policies;
  • Support the Program Delivery team with travel advice and adviser mobilisation and demobilisations; - Work closely with the Corporate Finance Team to support with the reconciliation of travel spend;
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed.

  • Experience using a Global Distribution System
  • Experience working cross-culturally
  • Experience booking both domestic and international travel arrangements
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with strong attention to detail
  • High school and 6 years of experience or Bachelor's degree
  • Working rights in Australia with no sponsorship
