Are you ready to take charge and make a real impact in your next leadership role? Wideland Group, one of regional Australia's most diverse privately-owned multi location dealership groups, is looking for a hands-on Service Manager to lead our Truck, Agriculture & Construction service operations based at our Tamworth branch.
With multiple branches across Queensland and New South Wales, Wideland proudly represents some of the most recognised global brands in the industry — Hino, IVECO, JCB, and CLAAS, just to name a few that you will be working with.
About the Role:
This is a rare opportunity for a results-focused leader who thrives on responsibility, teamwork, and delivering exceptional service. You'll take full ownership of the department's performance, supported by a dedicated team, modern facilities, and a forward-thinking leadership group that's committed to your success.
You'll be responsible for leading day-to-day operations, building strong customer relationships, and driving growth through smart service strategies and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a skilled team of technicians and service professionals
- Drive service department performance, efficiency, and profitability
- Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure satisfaction at every touchpoint
- Promote the service offering to existing and new customers
- Manage workflow, scheduling, and workshop operations
- Foster a strong, positive, and accountable team culture
What You'll Bring:
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a service-related role
- Strong mechanical knowledge & Mechanical Trade qualifications & previous experience (trucks, agriculture, or construction equipment preferred)
- The ability to coach, mentor and lead teams to hit performance targets
- Confidence in promoting services and developing new business
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
- Solid computer literacy (AUTO IT or similar DMS is highly regarded)
- A proactive, "can-do" mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and taking ownership of the department results
