Head of Warehouse & Distribution

MUVE Logistics is a leading player in the Transport and Logistics industry, committed to delivering excellence in every aspect.


Position Overview:

As the Head of Warehouse & Distribution, you will be responsible for overseeing all warehouse and distribution operations across Australia, including our own facilities and employees at customer sites. Based at Dandenong South with interstate and local travel required to oversee all warehouses.

Your primary focus will be to manage all warehouses, driving system and process improvements, staff training, integration of systems, safety, and creation of documents such as SOPs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all aspects of Warehouse and Distribution Operations nationwide.
  • Oversee the allocation and performance management of fleet allocators, ensuring efficient route planning and utilisation of vehicles.
  • Identify and implement system and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Conduct staff training and development programs to build and maintain a high-performing team.
  • Manage the integration of systems and technologies to optimise warehouse and distribution operations.
  • Oversee the Warehouse Management System (WMS), Transport Management System (TMS) and ensure its proper functionality and data integrity.
  • Ensure full compliance with safety regulations, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements, and company policies.
  • Develop, maintain, and regularly review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and related documentation.
  • Oversee all recruitment, onboarding, and performance management for warehouse and distribution staff nationwide.
  • Support the growth and expansion of MUVE's contracted warehousing and permanent labour hire division.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in Business or Management is ideal but not mandatory
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations, systems and processes (forklift license is preferrable)
  • Strong Knowledge of compliance and COR
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Strong people leader
  • Ability to travel interstate and locally as required
