This is a fantastic role for an existing Senior Development Manager or a seasoned DM ready for the leap into more accountability, leadership and ownership.
About the opportunity
This is the lead Victorian based development role with ownership for delivering current and new projects across outer metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria. You'll have executive exposure, assist the Head of Acquisitions on Victorian opportunities and have a genuine career development path.
Oversee projects from newly acquired stage to completion. Manage consultants, budgets, timelines and development/delivery resources across a portfolio of staged communities homes each).
Help shape new systems, drive best practice and lead cross-functional teams as the organisation scales. They're not a well-oiled machine just yet
Influence strategy, contribute to broader growth plans and represent the business in industry, community, and government settings.
Work flexibly from home, on site and on the road. There is no corporate CBD office yet which means greater agility. You can expect to be on the road a couple of times a week.
About you
You're an ambitious operator ready to grasp scale-up conditions and make meaningful impact. Previous land lease experience isn't essential – staged residential developments would be advantageous but again, is not essential.
Attitude, potential and experience across the full lifecycle is a higher priority.
The ideal candidate is willing to roll up their sleeves and thrives in a varied role where they have autonomy. Experience actively managing consultants and authorities is really important; there is a lot to get done and it will not suit a more passive management style.
