OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR
PORT HEDLAND AIRPORT (GROUND HANDLING)

This is a full-time permanent role at Port Hedland Airport.  Successful applicant will reside in Port Hedland.

The main purpose of this role is to provide support to the Operations Manager with the day-to-day operation of ground handling services provided at Port Hedland Airport.

The successful applicant will be required to oversee and uphold the safety, efficiency & compliance of both the ramp and customer service team.

This position requires strong leadership & communication skills. A solid administration background with good understanding of proficient reporting and experience is essential.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have extensive knowledge of the aviation industry
  • Provide guidance, mentorship and assistance to all landside and airside staff
  • Develop and mentor airport staff
  • Have extensive knowledge of Corporate & Airline Reporting
  • Provide performance management and reviews
  • Contribute to the staff recruitment process
  • Undertake Self Audits
  • Communicate with customer airlines & resolve issues on a daily basis
  • Plan for and execute safe operations under irregular operating conditions
  • Protect the on-time performance of our customer airlines.
  • Provide daily and weekly GSE checks
