FIFO Operator – $59.02/hr | 2/1 Roster | Cape Preston

We are seeking an experienced FIFO Operator to join our client's team at the Cape Preston mine site. This role operates on a 2/1 swing roster, working one week on days and one week on nights.

What You'll Do:

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and maintain multiple pieces of equipment safely and efficiently
  • Interpret blueprints and specifications to position and operate machinery
  • Conduct chute, sensor, and conveyor cleaning
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs on site and in the workshop
  • Perform pre-start checks, hazard assessments (minimum 3 per shift), and ensure safe operation
  • Provide accurate reporting of equipment condition and job activities to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment through daily housekeeping practices
  • Support continuous improvement and recommend procedural or productivity enhancements
  • Respond to emergency jobs as required
  • Work closely with supervisors and team members to achieve production and safety goals

Mandatory Tickets & Requirements:

  • Current C Class Driver's Licence
  • Confined Space Entry (valid within 2 years)
  • Working at Heights (valid within 2 years)
  • Gas Testing Atmospheres (valid within 2 years)
  • Skid Steer Ticket
  • Excavator Ticket
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team with limited supervision
  • Ability to pass Pre-Employment Medical & DAS
  • Ability to undertake FIFO roster (2/1)

Desirable:

  • Forklift Licence (LF)
  • Elevated Work Platform (EWP) ticket
  • Overhead Crane Ticket
  • Dogging & Rigging (Basic)
  • Previous mining or heavy industrial experience
