Due to the positive growth in motorcycle sales and licencing a position has become available 4 days a week (Mon-Thurs) for an experienced motorcyclist to become an Accredited Trainer & Assessor at one of Victoria's leading motorcycle training providers.
Ridetek MTA is located at the renown Sandown Raceway and is a VicRoads Accredited Training Provider delivering the Motorcycle Graduated Licencing System (MGLS). NB/ This position would be located at our training facility in Sunshine West.
Ridetek is highly regarded within the industry now for approximately 20+ years. Our team prides themselves on delivering the product to the highest of standards whilst ensuring at the same time all our customers enjoy their course and become the safest riders they can possibly be.
The MGLS has been running in Victoria for 9 years and was developed to provide novice riders with the practical skills and road craft required to ride safely on the road. There are three stages to the system, Learners, Check Ride and Licence Assessment and all include components on range as well as on road riding.
The attributes that a successful applicant would need to possess are, but not limited to:
- The applicant must be the holder of a full unrestricted Victorian Motorcycle Licence, as well as an experienced and current motorcycle rider that is able to demonstrate basic bike control to a high standard.
- Be an enthusiastic motorcyclist with a passion for road craft and guiding novice riders towards safe riding choices and behaviours.
- Hold a Cert IV in Training and Assessment or be willing to complete the stand alone units as below:
*TAEASS412 - Assess Competence
*TAEDEL311 - Provide work skill instruction
*TAEDEL411 - Facilitate vocational training.
- Have excellent communication and time management skills.
- Be able to work independently and also as an effective team member.
- Have excellent presentation and confident talking to small groups of people.
- Be able to meet and follow set course criteria and assessment requirements.
- Can demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively with people that have English as a second language and show empathy and patience to students that come with varied levels of riding and road experience.
- Is well organised and able to complete all required paperwork and record keeping in line with company policy as well as VicRoads requirements.
- Previous experience as a motorcycle instructor would be an advantage but not a requirement as full training will be provided to the successful applicant.
- The position will require flexibility working midweek as well as weekends as we operate 7 days a week.
