About the role
St John Ambulance Victoria is expanding our team of First Aid Trainers who deliver training and assessment in our Event Health Services community for the Recruitment Pathway.
They conduct accredited and non accredited training courses in accordance with national frameworks, training quality standards, as well as organisational policies, procedures and protocols.
The trainers provide excellent student experiences by delivering engaging training and assessment in first aid. The trainers will demonstrate a passion for promoting first aid and wellbeing and contributing to individual and community resilience.
This role will require travel to Melbourne metro and regional areas and applications are welcome from candidates in Greater Melbourne or regional Victoria.
As our ideal candidate, you will possess:
- You will be a have a positive & engaging communication style
- The ability to engage with participants in adult education setting and the broad community at public events
- You will hold and maintain a relevant qualification for the delivery of Vocational Education & Training to meet the RTO standards.
- Experience as a first aid responder, healthcare professional or in emergency management or a related field
- Industry experience or qualification in first aid or other relevant fields
- Stong skills in effective teamwork
- A demonstrated passion for training & education in the field of health, safety, first aid or other related field
- Ability to administer first aid to own level of training
- Basic IT skills and the ability and willingness to learn new technology
- Have a current driver's license, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.
