The role requires the leader to work alongside other key staff to support positive behaviour for learning and have a strong and familiar presence at the College with the student community. Adherence to high level of school attendance, uniform expectations, hair and grooming in addition to College behavioural expectations are within the scope of the role. Specific Criteria
- Be suitably qualified to lead Student Wellbeing and align with the vision, mission and values of the school
- Have experience in leading and managing staff.
- Support and implement the goals and values of Catholic education and the strategic priorities of the College.
- Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners
- Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students.
- Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices
- Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community
- Promote and understand the importance of assessment practice, data analysis and feedback to enhance learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
- Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning
Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4 year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.
