About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with proven Building Services experience who is ready to take the next step into leadership with CORE.

As Team Leader / Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a dual role – providing hands-on technical expertise while leading and developing a high-performing team. You will manage the end-to-end delivery of building services projects, including planning, design reviews, budget control, and ensuring milestones are met.

Working closely with a multidisciplinary group of engineers – including Senior Fire Protection, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and an Intermediate Electrical Engineer who will handle most of the day-to-day electrical workload – you will focus on team performance, technical oversight, quality assurance, whilst working closely with the Director to drive strategic direction.

Your role will involve coordinating with stakeholders and clients, translating business objectives into clear project plans, and driving continuous improvement across processes. You'll mentor and empower team members, building capability and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

As a Team Leader, you will take on a dual role, balancing leadership and technical engineering to deliver exceptional results.

  • Ability to lead and manage a diverse team of professional engineers in a people first manner.
  • Proficiency project management specific systems
  • Strong consulting skills, including concept design, high-level costing, and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
  • Experience in the management and delivery of multidisciplinary projects
  • Familiarity with the National Construction Code (NCC) and Australian Standards
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding customer service and client relationship management.
