Based in Gladstone

About the role:

Reporting to the QLD General Manager, this position will be accountable for the safe and reliable day to day operational management of the Gladstone & Biloela Depots.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and maintaining efficient operational processes to ensure smooth running of the depot.
  • Managing and supervising depot staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Overseeing inventory management and ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborating with other departments to coordinate logistics, transportation, and delivery schedules.
  • Monitoring and analysing key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Handling customer enquiries, issues, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Preparing regular reports on depot performance for senior management review
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

The successful applicant will require:

  • Previous experience in heavy vehicle &/or fuel industry an advantage
  • Proven understanding of Fatigue Management, Mass Management, Quality Assurance and Chain of Responsibility legislation
  • Sound Microsoft Office skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communicator with proven record of building & maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confident decision-maker with ability to work autonomously & lead a team within a diverse logistics operation
  • Well-developed organisational, problem solving and time management skills
