About the Role

As a
Natural Areas Team Lead

, you will: 

  • Lead and mentor field teams delivering
    natural area restoration, revegetation, weed control, and habitat management

.
- Scope and cost works, prepare estimates and support tenders.
- Oversee day-to-day project delivery — ensuring safety, environmental compliance, productivity and high-quality outcomes.
- Liaise with clients, councils and stakeholders to provide technical advice and resolve site challenges.
- Support the preparation of
vegetation management plans (VMPs)

, reports and compliance documentation.
- Physically fit for hands-on outdoor tasks

This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys combining
practical fieldwork with project management

and mentoring. 

About You

You'll bring: 

  • A degree or diploma in
    Environmental Science, Ecology, Natural Resource Management

(or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years delivering natural area management / ecological restoration projects.
- Strong knowledge of
South East Queensland native vegetation, weed species and habitat restoration

.
- Demonstrated team leadership and project management experience.
- Current manual driver's licence and Construction White Card.
- ACDC accreditation

Bonus points if you have:

  • Chainsaw Level 2 competency.
  • Experience in machinery operation, including positrack / chipper
  • First Aid & CPR.
  • Bushfire hazard reduction works
  • Erosion control works
  • Experience with local council specs (e.g., City of Gold Coast, City of Moreton Bay, Sunshine Coast Council).
