Oncology Pharmacist

What you'll do:
Join our experienced Pharmacy team at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital on a 12 month fixed term basis As the Lead Oncology/Cancer Care Services Pharmacist you will lead the team to:

  • Provide comprehensive pharmaceutical care and advice to members of the multidisciplinary team and patients receiving cancer treatment;
  • Deliver patient-centered pharmacy services within a multidisciplinary team, emphasizing medication safety and optimization.
  • Perform clinical assessments, drug therapy monitoring, and offer patient-specific recommendations.
  • Engage in complex aseptic compounding and contribute to multidisciplinary team reviews and cancer care meetings.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent with current unconditional Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA
  • High level of computer literacy including systems knowledge of CHARM, Merlin, and Microsoft Office.
  • You are team-oriented, enjoy collaboration and passionate about providing specialised patient care.
  • Previous experience and/or formal study in cancer care and the ability to perform aseptic complex compounding.
